What a complete invoice includes
- Your business name, address and contact email, plus your VAT or tax number if you have one
- Your client's name and address
- A unique invoice number and the issue date
- A due date, so "when do I pay?" has one answer
- A short description of each piece of work, with quantity and price
- Subtotal, any tax (rate and amount shown separately) and the total due, with the currency clear
- How to pay you, such as your bank details in the notes

How it works

- Check every line, then see the invoice as your client will. Nothing is sent until you choose to send it.
- Add your email to save your work, remove the DRAFT watermark and send it. That's free too.

Is this invoice generator really free?
Yes. The Free plan costs nothing and needs no card. It includes 10 sent invoices a month, 5 clients and 20 AI actions a month.
Do I need an account?
Not to start. As a guest you can draft invoices and preview them. To send an invoice or get a PDF without the DRAFT watermark, add your email: your work stays, and it's free.
Which currencies and languages can I use?
22 currencies, and invoices in 10 languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Polish, Swedish, Arabic.
How do my clients pay me?
They pay you directly, using the payment details on your invoice. Pay links from your own Stripe account are coming soon. TheInvoiceAI is invoicing software, not a payment service: we never hold, process or transmit your money, and we take no fee.
